FARMINGTON – One of the largest book sales in the area is going on right now at the Farmington Elks Lodge in West Farmington.
The sale, an annual event, will continue until 5 p.m. today, as well as run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Hardcover books are $2 each, or six books for $10. Paperbacks are a quarter, or five for $1. Trade books and larger-sized paperbacks are 50 cents. On Sunday, an entire bag of books costs $2.
The money goes toward the Literacy Volunteers of Franklin and Somerset Counties, an organization that helps individuals, students and families learn how to read.
