Kingfield man accused of gross sexual assault

KINGFIELD – A local man was arrested on a charge of gross sexual assault Tuesday, after a woman approached Sexual Assault Victims Emergency Services.

Allen-Michael Gilmore, 18, of Kingfield, was arrested Tuesday by Franklin County Sheriff’s Department Det. David St. Laurent, and charged with gross sexual assault. 

According to St. Laurent, the alleged victim approached SAVES, which provides advocacy and counseling services for the victims of sexual abuse, on Nov. 4, where she reportedly spoke of an incident that had occurred in the past week. FCSD began an investigation, interviewing the alleged victim and other witnesses on Nov. 4, and Gilmore was arrested on Nov. 9, at his residence in Kingfield.

The alleged victim and Gilmore were acquaintances, St. Laurent said.

Gilmore was released Tuesday on a $250 cash bond. His first court appearance has been scheduled for Dec. 17.
