Rangeley celebrates its logging heritage

1 min read

RANGELEY – Lil’ Miss Wood Chip, Maya Cunningham and Lil’ Mister Wood Chip, Cedric Wilford, ride along in the Logging Festival parade today. The parade, one of many events held during the two-day, annual Logging Festival Days, is sponsored by the Rangeley Lakes Region Logging Museum. The museum is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

The local American Legion Color Guard carry the flags to the music of the Old Crow Band marching behind them.

A string of go-karts with children waving was a colorful addition to the Logging Festival parade.

The Rangeley Public Library celebrates its 100th year with balloons and books, of course.

A line-up of fully loaded logging trucks followed by area fire department trucks completed the Logging Festival parade this morning. A good-sized crowd attended the parade under mostly clearing skies.
