FARMINGTON – Dana Underwood, 30, of Wilton, said he was OK after his 2002 Chevy Silverado SUV rolled over and struck a utility pole on Middle Street at 10:24 this morning. Underwood, said Sgt. Shane Cote of the Farmington Police Department, was trying to avoid a dog that darted out in front of his truck and in doing so, hit the soft edge of the road and rolled over down the slope and into a pole. “He didn’t think his truck had hit the pole that hard, but the truck’s weight easily snapped the pole,” Cote said. Farmington Fire rescue crew assisted at the scene. Central Maine Power is on the way to replace the pole.
