Up to 2 feet of snow expected through tonight

A snow Robin, photographed today, is in for a bit of a wait for spring. The National Weather Service is calling for between 1 to 2 feet of snow to fall through tonight. Snow is expected to be heavy at times. High near 22 today with a low around 17 tonight.

Gov. John Baldacci announced that all state government offices, except those in Aroostook County, closed today, Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 2:30 p.m. due to the inclement weather.

Schools in MSAD 9 and Jay were closed today.
