Weeding at the Hope Harvest Garden

Sue Foss (at left) weeds one side of the pea trellis while Vicki Farsaci (at right) harvests lettuce from the other side. A couple Wednesdays ago was a beautiful day for staff from Mallett School and other volunteers to come and help out in Hope Harvest Garden. Besides lettuce, they harvested peas; green, yellow and purple beans; beets; tomatoes; cauliflower; and garlic scapes (stems).

If you or your group, business, or organization would like to volunteer during Open Garden Hours (4-6 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays) or Weeding Wednesday hours (2-4 PM), or would like to find out more about the Garden, please call Eileen Liddy at the Healthy Community Coalition at 779-2923.
