PHILLIPS – David Toothaker and the Phillips High School Class of 1967 collected more than $6,500 in just six weeks to help restore the Phillips Community Church.
Built in 1835, the building serves the greater Phillips area and draws members from as far away as Wilton and Weld. The UCC congregation is led by Pastor Sue Kaplan-Burgess.
Toothaker and the Class of 1967, many of whom live in the area, collected contributions from individuals and businesses in the area, and held a four-day raffle during Phillips’ 52nd Annual Old Home Days. Raffle ticket holders who won gift certificates from sponsors included:

The fund will be used to renovate the interior of the building. Donations to the fund can be made by mailing a check to:
