FARMINGTON – Farmington Emblem Club met May 7, 2009 at the Farmington Elks Lodge for their regularly scheduled meeting. Prior to the meeting a picnic potluck meal was enjoyed by all.

Nancy Chase read a story called “A Flag Incident” for Americanism.

During the previous month the Farmington Emblem Club members worked on a blood drive, bake sale, at he animal shelter, helped with softball , did hospital visits both in Farmington and Portland. Members also attended a Franklin Memorial Hospital Tea. Books and bookmarks were donated for literacy.

Beth Neeley was re-instated and Janice DeBrujin resigned as he has moved to the Netherlands.

Farmington Emblem Club will host a Father’s Day breakfast June 21, from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Farmington Elks Lodge. They are also planning a Fall Basket Rafflle as well a other events.
