FARMINGTON – Nathan Paling, the new Spanish teacher at Mt. Blue Middle School is having his students come up with Spanish or Latino identities that they will continue to develop over the school year. Each student has chosen a name and a country of origin and are now recreating the flags of their country and reporting on current events. Some of the more edible projects that they came up with included the cake Dakota Williams created that represents Ecuador and therefore the Galapagos Islands. Below: Brandon Cardona’s tasty version of the bandera de Puerto Rico.
