Residents to discuss Wilton’s safety Sept. 13

1 min read

FARMINGTON – Everyone is invited to a two-way discussion between Police Chief Dennis Brown and Wilton residents, to cover what each group perceives as public safety issues in town. The program will take place at 7 pm on Monday, Sep. 13 at the First Congregational Church in downtown Wilton.

Chief Brown will open with a brief talk on the concerns of the police force, and what issues they have been dealing with in Wilton. He will give us a realistic picture of the frequency and seriousness of these issues and how the Department is addressing them.

This will be followed by a period of expressing concerns from among our residents, and what issues they see in town. We all will try to get a clearer picture of how the Wilton Police Department fits into our ideals of quality of life-and what balance of efforts will make Wilton the best little town in Maine.

This program is part of an on-going series by The Wilton Group as part of its mission “to preserve, enhance, and promote the unique character of Wilton by facilitating communication, engagement, and cooperation in our community”. FMI, call 779-9026 or email info@wiltongroup.org.
