Shepherd’s Pie and SAVES are teaming up to put on a dance where you can shimmy and shake away your cabin fever and end-of-winter blues. The event will be held March 13, 2008 at the North Dining Hall, University of Maine Farmington from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for the general public and $5 for students. You may purchase tickets at Tranten’s, Mountain View Chocolate Shoppe, and SAVES. All proceeds raised will support Franklin County’s sexual assault crisis center, SAVES (Sexual Assault Victims Emergency Services, Inc.).

Seven exceptional musicians make up Shepherd’s Pie, with five of those members lending their talent as singers to the mix. These outstanding performers have provided quality dance music at parties and events all over the state of Maine, including the Farmington Inaugural Ball in January 2009. The band is known to please people of all ages with a variety of musical interests. They play high energy dance music that ranges from rock to ballroom jazz, and everything else in between – soul, country, pop, alternative, R&B and reggae, and have done so throughout the state of Maine.
