LIVERMORE FALLS – Your family, friends and neighbors will be gathering on Saturday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Livermore Falls Recreation Fields to celebrate Fall in the Central Androscoggin River Valley. The “Event of the Year”

in the Jay, Livermore and Livermore Falls area, the Apple Pumpkin Festival has seen a steady increase in attendance and vendor participation each of the past five years, and this year promises to be no different.

Sponsored by the Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce, the 2010 Apple Pumpkin Festival will feature a variety of vendors and craft artisans, agricultural products, historical and educational displays, seasonal decorations, antique tractors, raffles and plenty of food all day long! There will be two venues of live, local music. Also returning, is the infamous Tiger Slide, as well as the Bounce House, Rat Race and Climbing Wall! New Festival additions and area events join the fun every year.

A local favorite, the Apple and Pumpkin Pie Baking Contest is returning for the third year. This annual event is sponsored by Addie’s Shoppe, on Park Street in Livermore Falls. Slices of pie entered in the contest will be sold after the judging, with proceeds to benefit the Linda Latham Memorial Scholarship Fund. All participants must pre-register and all ages are welcome to participate. Judging will be held at 10:30  a.m. Pies need to be on site by 10  a.m. Entry forms can be found on www.applepumpkinfestival.org or at Addie’s Shoppe, 32 Park Street in downtown Livermore Falls.
