Mount Blue Middle School Language Arts teacher Rachael Austin LaCase donates a book to Teen Voices book club members Stephanie Hastings, Tavia Robshaw, Thia Bridges and Christy Lewis.

FARMINGTON – Teen Voices, which meets monthly for a meal and book discussion, will be collecting the books all week and will donate them to Literacy Volunteers of Franklin County. The books will then be sold at the Literacy Volunteers’ annual book sale, which will take place at the West Farmington Elks Lodge on Saturday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday, May 2, from
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Books will only be $2 per bag on Sunday. “The girls enjoy giving back to a community that has been so supportive of their book club,” commented Teen Voices Advisory Board member Barbara Leopold of Wilton. “Last year, the girls collected over 300 books and are hoping to do the same this year.”

Teen Voices members will gather on Friday to help the Literacy Volunteers sort the books.
