Winter Windfall raffle tickets on sale

2 mins read

FARMINGTON – Tickets for the Healthy Community Coalition (HCC) second annual Winter Windfall raffle are now available until the end of January. The raffle is sponsored by Franklin Community Health Network.

By donating $10 per ticket, the donor will be eligible for 31 prizes to be drawn daily throughout January. A sampling of prizes includes: a Saddleback mini-vacation for four ($950 value); a guided fly fishing trip ($450 value); restaurant certificates; ski passes; a kayak rental, fitness member ships, desserts, and much, much more!

According to executive director, Heather Davis, HCC is looking for innovative ways to continue current programs. Due to the poor economic climate, some private foundations that previously funded programs are unable to continue to do so. In addition, state programs have been cut and with more nonprofit organizations seeking private funding, the competition is tight.

The tickets are the perfect gift for those who are hard to buy for and make great stocking stuffers.

Proceeds from the raffle will permit HCC to offer programs not covered by grants, and allow for the expansion of health screenings, health promotion and education, outreach, and mobile health unit services to meet community requests.

“Thanks to your donation, Healthy Community Coalition will be able to continue to offer a variety of services to improve the health and well-being of all the people in Greater Franklin County,” said Davis.

Tickets for Winter Windfall are available by printing out and mailing in the form found at www.fchn.org/news; click on the post for “Winter Windfall Raffle Tickets on Sale.”

They are also available from any HCC staff or board member or by stopping by HCC offices at 105 Mt. Blue Circle in Farmington.
