FMH appoints new manager of Health Information Management

FARMINGTON – Linda Pooler has been appointed manager of the Health Information Management (medical records) department at Franklin Memorial Hospital, according to Michelle Dunlap, director of Revenue Cycle.

In her new position, Pooler will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily functions of the hospital’s Health Information Management department including coding, transcription, and chart completion, while maintaining patient confidentiality. She supervises a staff of 13.

“Linda comes to us with 11 years of medical records and coding experience from Inland Hospital in Waterville,” Dunlap said. “While there she was the 2008 recipient of the prestigious Champion Award for her exemplary customer service skills.”

Pooler is credentialed as a registered health information technician through the American Health Information Management Association. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Maine Health Information Management Association and also serves as co-chair of the Program and Arrangements Committee.

Pooler has earned two associate’s degrees from Kennebec Valley Technical College: one in health information technology and the other in general technology.

Pooler resides in Bingham and is the parent of three grown children: Shane, Adam, and Megan; and the grandparent of two.
