Franklin Memorial Oncology Services welcomes Dr. Khomani

Abderrahim Khomani, MD

FARMINGTON – Franklin Memorial Hospital (FMH) is pleased to announce the addition of Abderrahim Khomani, MD, a medical oncologist/hematologist, who is now providing cancer care at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Khomani sees patients in Farmington every Tuesday. He joins cancer care providers Dr. Andrew Hertler, Dr. Richard Krull, and physician assistant Jamie Bell in staffing the oncology department. All are also affiliated with the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care.

Dr. Khomani earned his medical degree from St. Petersburg State Pediatric-Medical Academy in Russia. He completed residency training in internal medicine at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence Rhode Island. He also completed a residency in hematology/oncology at Lombardi Cancer Center in Washington, DC. He later completed a clinical fellowship in hematology/oncology at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia.

Dr. Khomani is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and board-eligible for certification with a specialty certification in medical oncology and hematology.

“We are pleased to offer aggressive treatment for all types of cancer, as well as benign and malignant blood disorders,” said Mary Keane, FMH outpatient and oncology manager. “We offer chemotherapy and intravenous fluids administration and blood product transfusion, all administered by chemotherapy-certified and oncology-certified registered nurses.
