New physician assistant joins Franklin Health Urology

FARMINGTON – Franklin Community Health Network announces that physician assistant Calli Meader has been appointed to the medical staff of Franklin Health Urology, joining lead physician Dr. Richard Batstone, a urologist and surgeon.

Meader has performed clinical rotations in rural family medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, family medicine, women’s health, emergency medicine, inpatient internal medicine, and pediatrics. Two of those rotations were with medical staff of Franklin Memorial Hospital, Dr. Lorien Batt and physician assistant David Huish.

Meader received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies in 2009 from the University of New England (UNE). Prior to that she completed her bachelor’s degree in medical biology/pre-physician assistant studies, also at UNE.

Meader said she is eager to work alongside Dr. Batstone and expand her expertise in urology.

She grew up in the area, graduating in 2003 from Mt. Blue High School. She was recently married to Jeremy Meader; they reside in Vienna.

Franklin Urology offers treatment for a full range of urological disorders and conditions for men, women, and children, including: urology surgery; prostate and bladder cancer treatment; vasectomy reversal; and treatment of male infertility, urinary incontinence, prostate disease, and kidney stones. All insurances and health plans are accepted.

Franklin Health Urology is located on the second floor of the Franklin Health Medical Arts Center located on the campus of Franklin Memorial Hospital. The medical practice is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call 778-4353.
