Pooler earns Healthcare Facility Manager certification

FARMINGTON – Gerald Cayer, Franklin Community Health Network executive vice president, is pleased to announce that Wallace “Wes” Pooler has earned the designation of Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) from the American Hospital Association Certification Center (AHA-CC). Pooler has been chief of facilities management for the health network for nearly two years.

To earn the CHFM, an individual must satisfy eligibility requirements that incorporate a blend of professional experiences and education. One must also successfully pass the CHFM certification exam that assesses the knowledge required of a competent healthcare facility manager in the areas of compliance, planning, design and construction, maintenance and operations, and finance and administration.

“Wes is to be commended for his commitment to professional development by earning this certification,” said Cayer. “The CHFM is a national credential that distinguishes an individual as being among the best in the healthcare facility management profession.

Pooler received his master’s degree in business administration from Thomas College and his bachelor’s degree in nautical science from Maine Maritime Academy. He resides in Skowhegan with his wife Abby and their three young children.
