Sports medicine clinic gets back in high gear

FARMINGTON – After a summer hiatus, Franklin Health Orthopaedics sports medicine clinic is back in high gear offering a full complement of health care providers lending a comprehensive approach to the treatment of sports-related injuries.

The clinic is for individuals of all ages who suffer from a sports-related injury, elementary through college-age students, as well as adult recreational athletes. Appointments are made through physician- and self-referral.

With the exception of the start-up Sept. 8 clinic, the sports medicine clinic is offered weekly on Mondays with appointments starting at 8:30 a.m.

Staffing the clinic is orthopedic surgeon Dr. Nancy Cummings, Franklin Health Orthopaedics medical director; and staff from the Physical Rehabilitation Department at Franklin Memorial Hospital including a physical therapist and an athletic trainer.
