FARMINGTON – In honor of breast cancer awareness initiatives and ongoing clinical support for the treatment of breast cancer at Franklin Community Health Network, a raised bed of 170 pink and purple tulips were planted on the Franklin Memorial Hospital campus on October 19. The colors symbolize pink as the color for breast cancer awareness, while purple is the color used for the Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center. Eighteen staff and volunteers showed up to help with the planting of the garden that when in bloom in the spring will appear as a large looped ribbon – the official symbol for breast cancer awareness.
