Rangeley Health and Wellness has expanded its services which now include family medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, orthopedic services, orthotics, podiatry, massage therapy, fitness programs and personal training.

RANGELEY – The landscape of health care services has changed dramatically in Rangeley in the last year. Rangeley Health and Wellness has expanded its services which now include family medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, orthopedic services, orthotics, podiatry, massage therapy, fitness programs and personal training. Services are offered at the Rangeley Family Medicine facility and at the Wellness Pavilion with its fully-equipped gym, 400 square-foot hydrotherapy pool, and private treatment rooms.

Rangeley Family Medicine has been offering primary care for 20 years with services now provided by Dorothy Mosher, FNP. Mosher received both her undergraduate and graduate training at Idaho State University. In 1977, she obtained her associate’s degree in nursing from Lewis-Clark State College, Idaho. She has been a registered nurse for 37 years and a family nurse practitioner for 15 years caring for patients with acute and chronic health issues. Velma Evans, a clinical social worker is providing services at Rangeley Family Medicine and also at Mt. Abram Regional Health Center.

In January, ASCENT Rangeley Lakes Rehab began offering services at the Rangeley Health and Wellness Pavilion. Heather Reed, physical therapist, has over 17 years of experience in a variety of settings including outpatient, skilled nursing rehab, hospital and homecare. Her services include outpatient treatment for a variety of orthopedic and neurologic diagnoses including; Back and neck pain, orthopaedic injury and post-op care, traumatic brain injury and stroke, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and other neurological and balance issues and improving strength, balance, and walking in the aging adult to reduce fall risk.

Kim Gooding, OT is providing occupational therapy to patients at the Rangeley Wellness Pavilion, Rangeley Lake Regional School and the Flagstaff/Eustis School. Gooding received her bachelor and master’s degrees from the University of New England and has 11 years of experience in a variety of settings treating injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff, and tennis elbow in addition to chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis and mobility issues due to aging or injury. She provides an array services to children with motor and sensory issues, hand writing and cognitive development and is also a certified Lymphedema therapist.

In November Dr. Paul Cain from Central Maine Orthopedics began seeing patients at the Rangeley Health and Wellness Pavilion two days per month. Dr. Cain is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with various areas of specialty, including sports medicine, arthroscopic and open surgery of the shoulder and knee, knee ligament reconstruction, and cartilage restoration. He joined Central Maine Orthopaedics (CMO) in 1987, and he served as president of the CMO Board from 2007 to 2011. He currently serves as chairman of the Central Maine Orthopaedics Board of Directors.

David Johnson, C.O. working in conjunction with our Orthopedic, Physical and Occupational Therapy clients provides orthotic and prosthetic services. Johnson has been in the orthotic and prosthetic industry since 1982 and is ABC (American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics) certified. He has training in many specialties and has a reputation for working well with children.
