FARMINGTON – The location of Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean’s presentation at University of Maine at Farmington has been changed to Lincoln Auditorium in the UMF Roberts Learning Center. This free and open to the public event will take place at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 29. The doors will open at 5:45 p.m., with limited seating available.

Dean’s presentation on the importance of voting and the youth vote is being hosted by the UMF College Democrats, a student organization that focuses on promoting the cause of Democrats on campus, educating the public about the Democratic Party and advocating for the election of Democratic candidates.

In addition to his current service as DNC Chairman, Dr. Dean is probably best known as a major candidate for the Democratic Party’s nomination for president in 2004. He has served as Governor of Vermont and as the chairman of the National Governor’s Association; is the founder of Democracy for America, which bills itself as “our nation’s largest progressive political action community”; and is a medical doctor.
