New Sharon couple arrested following $6,000 in charges on company credit card

NEW SHARON – A local couple was arrested Thursday, after a business claimed that one of its employees had charged more than $6,000 to his company credit card.

According to Sheriff Scott Nichols, FCSD Deputy Matt Brann began investigating a fraud complaint brought forward after a representative of Dube Environmental informed FCSD that employee Daniel Villacci, 28 of New Sharon, had charged more than $6,000 to the company credit card.

Following the investigation, FCSD Lt. David St. Laurent, Det. Ken Charles and Brann arrested Villacci and fiancee Tabatha Schoubroek, 30 of New Sharon. Villacci was charged with misdemeanor theft and violating the conditions of his release, while Schoubroek has been charged with theft, a Class C felony, and violating the conditions of her release.
