FARMINGTON – A Wilton man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault Sunday, after police say he choked a woman he was camping with off the Fairbanks Road.

Theodore Wallace, 34, of Wilton, has been charged with aggravated assault, criminal mischief and violating the conditions of his release. According to the Maine State Police, dispatchers in Augusta received a call from a woman Sunday. The alleged victim said she had been camping with Wallace and that an altercation had developed and escalated into violence.

MSP Trooper Randall Keaton eventually located Wallace in Wilton and arrested him. The criminal mischief charge stems from Wallace reportedly breaking a Coleman lantern.
