MT. VERNON – Alice Bloom of Mt. Vernon, Maine, died on Dec. 26, 2009.
Alice had a lifelong devotion to art and literature. She was an essayist and teacher of high renown, and operated The Corner craft and gift shop, in Mt. Vernon. She was the originator and, for 23 years, the producer and director of the Mt. Vernon Christmas Revels.
A solemn requiem mass for Alice will be celebrated by Father Kevin Lamarre at the Mt. Vernon Community Center in Mt. Vernon Village on Saturday, Jan. 2 at 2 p.m.
