Anita F. Ellicott (1932-2009)

AVON – Anita F. Ellicott, 78, died on Dec 30, 2009 at her home in Avon, Maine, following a short illness.

She was born Aug 30, 1932 in Avon, the daughter of Lester Sr. And Lillian Presby Gould. She was educated in the schools of Mile Square, Avon and Phillips. She was a member of the North Franklin Snowmobile Club. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, gardening and the outdoors.

She was employed at Forster Mfg. Co., Diamond Match, Farmington Shoe and later at Edmunds grocery store until retiring in 2000.

She is survived by two sons, Charles (Sonny) Ellicott of Avon, Randy Ellicott of Avon; three brothers Lester Gould Jr. Of Phillips, Ivan Gould of Avon, Conley Gould of East Madrid, and one sister, Lorraine Berry of Phillips; four grandchildren and one great grandson. She was predeceased by her companion Monty Toothaker.

At Anita’s request there will be no funeral service. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Phillips in the spring. Friends wishing may make donations in Anita’s memory to the Avon Little League, Attn: Christy White, c/o Town of Avon, PO Box 330, Phillips, Maine 04966.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan and Scott’s Adams Cremation and Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan, Maine.
