Christine A. “Tina” Toothaker (1941-2009)

LEWISTON – Christine A. “Tina” Toothaker, 67, of Chesterville, walked through the gates of Heaven after a brief illness on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was born on Dec. 21, 1941 in Auburn, the daughter of Basil and Dorothy (Strout) Kimball. She attended schools in Greene and Turner. On June 2, 1962 she married her former husband, Gordon A. Toothaker of East Wilton.

Tina worked at Farmington Shoe, where she met her special friend and companion, Linwood Luce. She was also employed at Hannaford in Farmington.

Her greatest joy was time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed cross stitching, making latch hook rugs and trips to Cabbage Island. Tina was always the first to be there to take her family and friends to appointments, shopping or any place they needed to go. Her collection of bears will continue to be admired by her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Tina was a loving mother and homemaker to her six children, Kevin Kimball of Poland, Kenneth Toothaker of Wilton, Kurt Toothaker of Waterville, Karen Toothaker of Farmington, Keith Toothaker of Maryland and Kim McCoombs of Lewiston.

. Funeral services will be held, 2 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2009 at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 136 High St., Wilton. Family and friends are invited to call at the center from noon until the time of the service. Words of condolence may be sent via e-mail to info@wilesrc.com.
