FARMINGTON – Eleanor F. Moore, 88, a resident of Pinewood Terrace, Farmington, died Tuesday morning, July 8, 2008 where she had resided for the last two years. In 2004, she moved to Strong, Maine, from Scituate, Mass., to live with her nephew and his wife, Jeff and Emily O’Donnell.

She was born July 19, 1919, in Boston, Mass., a daughter of Francis James and Eleanor L. (Linden) Moore. She graduated from Stoneham High School and continued her education at the Chandler School of Business.

She resided in Scituate, Mass., for many years where she owned a home near the shore. For many years she was an office manager for Ralph Crivier, a food brokerage firm. She attended St. Mary’s of the Nativity Church in Scituate Harbor, was active in the Historical Society and collected historical information about the cemeteries in the area.

She was a dry-witted, artistic, kind, independent woman who also enjoyed gardening and doing needlepoint in her free time.

Survivors include her sister, Jean M. O’Donnell of Scituate, Mass., two nephews: Kevin J. O’Donnell and his wife, Kathy of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Joseph F. O’Donnell, Jr., “Jeff”, and his wife, Emily of Strong, Maine; four nieces: Ellen C. Stokes of Center Valley, PA.; Maryann Cavaleri and her husband, Rod of Good Year, Arizona; Barbara Moore Fairbanks and her husband, Richard and son, Phillip LaPorte, of Mt. Pleasant, NC and Jean Moore and her husband, Koji Matsuoka of Tokyo, Japan, several grand nieces and grand nephews.

Public memorial graveside services will be held Saturday morning, July 26 at 10:30 AM from the West View Cemetery, 201 Bedford St., Lexington, Mass. Service arrangements are in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Rd., (Rtes. 2 & 27) Farmington, Maine.
