Mrs. Ella Adley, 80, of Wadsworth Glen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Middletown, Conn., passed away on Monday, Jan. 5, 2009.
Daughter of the late John and Gladys McCourt Edwards and wife of the late Leslie A. Adley. Ella was born in Jay, Maine, on Nov. 23, 1928, and resided in Middlefield, Conn., from 1957 to 1988, where she was a member of the Middlefield Federated Church. After 15 years of service, Mrs. Adley retired from Lyman Gunsight Co. of Middlefield in 1988.
Ella Adley is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Susan and Joseph Gilleaudeau of Manchester, Conn., and Linda and Willian Polley of Waterbury, Conn., and her two granddaughters Jessica L. DeMaio of Middletown, Conn., and Kristina M. DeMaio of Manchester, Conn., and her devoted sister Aileen Kingsley of Strong, Maine.
Ella will be reunited in heaven with her sisters Hazel Holman and Katherine Record, and dear brothers Walter, Allen, Phillip, Theodore and Cecil McCourt.
Friends may join the family in remembrance on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. and for funeral services Friday, Jan. 9 at 1 p.m. at Adams McFarlane Funeral & Cremation Services, 108 Court St, Farmington, ME. The family wishes to express special thanks to the wonderful staff at Wadsworth Glen Nursing Home and Middlesex Hospice Health Care.
