RUMFORD – Geraldine Parlin, 87 of Canton, died early Wednesday morning at Rumford Community Hospital.
She was born Nov. 21, 1923, a daughter of Ansel Simmon and Winnifred (Bicknell) Ellis and received her education in Canton schools. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with family and was a member of the Canton Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Leonard Parlin, Wendal Parlin, Vicki Parlin, Paula Young and her husband Greg; grandchildren, Leonard, Greg Jr., and Robert; great grandchildren, Chloe, Connor, and Kullen.
She was predeceased by her husband Harland; brothers, Gordon and Albert; and a sister Fay Lord.

Graveside memorial services will be held in May at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Canton. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Wiles Remembrance Center, PO Box 621, Dixfield, ME 04224. Cremation services are being cared for and provided by the Wiles Remembrance Center of Dixfield.
