Inez Hilton Brennick (1924-2009)

LEWISTON – Inez Hilton Brennick, 85, of Auburn died Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was born Oct. 22, 1924 to Maurice and Minta (Perkins) Hilton in Waldoboro, Maine. She attended Farmington State Teachers College where she met and then married Raymond Brennnick on their graduation day in June 1946. She taught school in Wayne, Madawaska, and MSAD 9. She returned to the University of Maine at Farmington in 1968 to complete her four-year degree. On completion she taught in MSAD 9 and Jay.Her family was the center of her life and her source of joy. She enjoyed gardening and painting, and was also an avid reader.

She is survived by her son Joseph and his wife Katherine, her daughter Pamela and her husband Paul Bron, her son Michael and his wife Joan, her son Peter, her son Patrick and his wife Kate, and her daughter Susan and her husband Fred Koch. She had 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Her death closed the chapter on that generation for both the Hilton and Brennick families. She will be sorely missed. At her request there will be no services.
