James “Jim” Corbett Sr. (1960 – 2010)

CHESTERVILLE – James F. “Jim” Corbett, Sr., 49, of Chesterville, died unexpectedly, Thursday evening, April 22, 2010 at his home in Chesterville.

He was born on June 20, 1960 in Farmington, the son of William and Marie (Clark) Corbett, Jr.

Jim worked for many years with Smokey’s Greater Shows travelling the fair circuit. He also worked at Bass Shoe in Wilton.

He enjoyed living every day to the fullest, being in the outdoors hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles. His greatest pleasure was time spent with his family, which he loved very much.

He is survived by his wife, Florence of Chesterville; two sons, William Stevens and James Corbett, Jr.; five step-children, Eugene Burnell, William Glidden, Jr., Raqueal Glidden, Doug Glidden and Chuck Hogan; a sister, Cathy Stevens; three step-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and good friends. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, William “Tink” Corbett, III; a step-daughter, Sabrina Glidden.
