FARMINGTON – Jeanne Irene Martineau, 74, of New Sharon, died early Sunday morning, Dec. 19, 2009 at the Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.
She was born on Feb. 4, 1935, in New Haven, CT, the daughter of George and Irene (Charbonnieau) Duquette. She graduated from New Haven catholic schools.
On May 21, 1955 she married Eugene Martineau in New Haven. They made their home in New Sharon while Jeanne worked as an administrative assistant in local banks.
She enjoyed doing various crafts and the company of her family.
Jeanne is survived by her husband of 54 years, Eugene of New Sharon; daughters, Patricia Ann McAllian and Catherine Martineau, both of New Sharon. She was predeceased by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Church in Farmington with Rev. Thomas Lequin, celebrant. Family and friends are invited to call at the Wiles Funeral Home, Cremation Service & Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
