PORTLAND – John A. “Woody” Wood, 58, of Anson, died early Monday morning at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

He was born June 5, 1952 in Toledo, OH, a son of John (James) and Mary (Pine) Wood and received his education in Ohio schools. On July 1, 1988, he married Pamela Taylor in Bellaire, MD.
Mr. Wood worked for many years as a heavy equipment mechanic, enjoyed boating, his dogs, and his family. He especially like motorcycles, specifically Harley Davidsons and was a member of HOG and United Bikers of Maine.
He is survived by his wife Pamela of Anson; a son, Dustin of Colorado; a step son, Michael Springer of VA; a brother James; 7 grandchildren.
