Judith A. Luce (1941-2009)

SOLON – Judith A. Luce, 67, died August 21, 2009 at the Cedar Ridge Nursing Home in Skowhegan with her family by her side.

She was born in Brewer, Maine, on Nov. 27, 1941 the daughter of Carl R. And Avis (Price) Luce. Judith was educated in the schools of N. Anson. As a young woman she moved to Mass. where she lived for several years, then moved to California and resided there for over 20 years. She then moved back to Maine in the late 1990s.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Minerva Chapter 74 of Madison, Bingham Grange, and Bingham’

s Senior Citizens where she cooked numerous meals and did transportation for them. Judith also volunteered at the Madison Food Cupboard. She loved to cook for shut-ins, food cupboards and anyone who needed a meal or just loved to eat her cooking. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Judith is survived by a brother, Carl Luce and family of Florida; two nieces, Betsy Luce and family of Clinton, and Tara Hamlin her husband Randy and family of Strong; special friends, Connie Quimby and Mary Andrews. She is predeseaced by her parents, and a brother, Timothy.

At Judith’s request there will be no funeral or visitation hours.
