FARMINGTON – Marion L. Taylor, 89, of Farmington, died Sunday morning, Mar. 7, 2010 at the Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.

She was born on Nov. 20, 1920, in Jonesport, the daughter of, Guy and Grace (Dodge) Lamson.

On Oct. 2, 1938 she married, Walter L. Taylor, Sr. He died on June 11, 1995.

Mrs. Taylor was the beloved matriarch of her family. She enjoyed the company of her many friends and family, playing cards, bingo and senior citizen trips. She touched the hearts of her friends with her wonderful sense of humor and brought much joy to those that had the privilege of knowing her. She also enjoyed cooking and the fruits of her labor in the kitchen will certainly be missed by her family.

The majority of her working life was spent at the Lamkin Hatchery in Chesterville where she worked for 23 years.

Marion is survived by her children, Pauline Boothby of Waterville, Betty Dudley and her husband, Irving of Livermore, Pat Williams of Winslow and Conrad Taylor of Chesterville; 20 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Walter L. Taylor, Jr. and Joseph Taylor; a grandson, Troy Boothby; a daughter-in-law, Carol Taylor.

Memorial services will be held, 11AM, Sat., Mar. 13, 2010 at the Wiles Funeral Home, Cremation Service & Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington with Rev. John Tolman, officiating. Gifts may be given in Marion’s memory to the Victorian Villa Resident Activity Fund, 26 Pleasant St., Canton, ME 04221.
