PHILLIPS – Ruby E. Wilcox, 79, of Phillips, died on Nov. 9, 2010 at the Sandy River Center for Health and Care in Farmington.

She was born June 25, 1931 in Dallas Plantation, the daughter of Everett and Evelyn Bachelder Wilcox. She was educated in the schools of Avon. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rangeley. She spent many hours babysitting children in her family.
Ruby loved to cook and made the best sponge cake around. In her spare time she enjoyed crafts, Bingo, and playing cards. Her favorite time was family gatherings and being around people.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sandy River for the wonderful care that she was given throughout her stay there.
She is survived by one brother; Richard (Bill) Wilcox of Phillips; one sister; Winona Wilcox of Farmington; two nieces and four nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends wishing may make donations in her memory to the Sandy River Center for Health Care, 119 Livermore Falls Road, Farmington, ME 04938. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan and Scott’s Cremation and Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan, ME.
