FARMINGTON – Shirley L. York, 82, a resident of Route 108 in Livermore, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, June 5th at Franklin Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with liver disease.

She was born May 5, 1928 in Lewiston, the daughter of William M. and Pearl L. (Wallingford) Jordan. She attended school in Dixfield and Lewiston. Shirley married Roy W. Bryant and Tilson York, they both preceded her in death. She worked as a supervisor and med-tech at Victorian Villa Boarding Home in Canton for 21 years until her retirement.

Shirley was a member of the Universalist Church and Women’s Circle in Livermore and also taught Sunday school there. She enjoyed cooking, baking, flower gardens, playing guitar, singing country music, helping people, but especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, James Bryant; and Arnold Bryant and his wife Nancy of Livermore; her daughter, Darlene Morris and her husband Stan of Rangeley; two sisters, Joyce Dalton of Canton; and Phyllis Briggs and her husband Dale of East Dixfield; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Carolyn Kennedy. The family would like to thank Franklin Memorial Hospital, Androscoggin Home Health aides and nurses and Laura Allen for all her help.
