In the latter part of his life he enjoyed watching Law and Order and Ice Road Truckers, and enjoyed his phone conversations with his former co-workers and fellow truck drivers. Even as he fought his illness he maintained his uplifting attitude and concern for others as well as a sense of humor and always did so with a smile.
