CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Carrabassett Valley Academy announced the establishment of a new scholarship fund to honor Joshua Waldron, who tragically passed away in January. The scholarship will help assure that bright and talented kids like Josh have the opportunity to attend CVA to reach their athletic and academic goals.
The Waldron family and CVA have partnered with the Maine Community Foundation to manage and administer the endowed fund.
CVA will select the annual scholarship award recipient/s. When selecting a Josh Waldron Scholar-Athlete, the committee will give preference to younger freestyle skiers from Maine that show academic and athletic promise.
