CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Franklin Community Health Network’s 22nd annual Healthcare Golf
Classic will be a two-day, two-tournament event at the Sugarloaf Golf Club, which will take place Sunday, July 19, through Monday, July 20. Title cosponsors are TD Banknorth and Broadlane.

The beneficiaries will once again be the Healthy Community Coalition and the Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center. Both are programs afffiliated with Franklin Commounity Health Network and provide health services to people in need.

The tournament is a four-person scramble and anyone is welcome to participate as part of a team or as an individual (individuals who register will be assigned to teams needing members).

The Healthcare Golf Classic festivities will begin with a noontime best ball tournament on Sunday followed by a reception. On Monday, a continental breakfast for all players takes place, followed by 18 holes of tournament play, a luncheon, awards ceremony, and raffle. Teams may choose to participate both days or just for Monday’s tournament.

On hand on Monday will be special guest Seth Wescott, who is one of the most decorated athletes in snowboarding today, and the only athlete to ever win an Olympic gold medal in the sport of snowboardcross.

“There are a variety of sponsorship opportunities for area businesses including platinum team sponsors, trophy sponsors, snack cart sponsors, hole sponsors, and more,” said Steve Pierce, chair of this year’s event.
