LEAP’s third annual golf tournament a great success

NEW SHARON – LEAP, Inc. recently held its Third Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Sandy River Golf Course in New Sharon.

The event was a great success due to a larger turnout of golfers and thanks to major sponsorship from Kyes Insurance, Bangor Savings Bank, C. Baker & Associates and the assistance of Ethel & Russ Bardsley. Proceeds will benefit the following LEAP Programs: the DREAM Respite Program, the Franchetti Recreation Fund and the Cordes-Taylor Scholarship Program.

The tournament winners were: Low Gross Team – Darlene Rowe, Marcus Rowe, Lisa Dalrymple and Mike DeRaps, Putting Contest – Winona Davenport, Longest Drive – Todd Demmons, Closest to the Pin – Mark Cyr, and Chipping Contest – Mike Waugh.
 
LEAP is a private non-profit agency, which has been providing home and community supports for people with cognitive & intellectual disabilities in Western and Central Maine and their families for over twenty-nine years. LEAP provides a variety of individualized and small group services. LEAP is a member of the Maine Association for Community Support Providers and a designee Agency of the United Way of the Tri-Valley Area.
