Men’s soccer shut out by Husson

FARMINGTON – The University of Maine at Farmington men’s soccer team closed out its regular season with a 1-0 loss to Husson University in North Atlantic Conference action today at Prescott Field.

The Beavers dropped to 6-7 overall and 4-3 in the NAC, while the Eagles (8-6) finished unblemished in the NAC at 7-0. Both teams await the NAC Tournament seedings to see when and where they are going to play.

Jeff Truchon (Greene, ME) scored off a Billy Shannon (Newburgh, ME) feed 6:48 into the game for the one-goal difference for Husson. The match was evenly contested with both teams taking the same amount of shots (13) and corner kicks (five).

Farmington keeper Matthew Dennett (Augusta, ME) and Husson netminder Brad Ala (Caribou, ME) each registered eight saves.
