FARMINGTON – University of Maine at Farmington forward Amber Murphy (Manchester, NH) scored 4:25 into overtime to lift the Beavers’ women’s soccer team to a 1-0 North Atlantic Conference win over Lyndon State College at Prescott Field on Sunday.

Murphy’s game-winner came off a corner kick for the Beavers, who ran their record to 6-4 overall and 4-1 in the NAC with a trip to St. Joseph’s College scheduled for Thursday. The Hornets dropped to 6-6-1 (1-3-1).

The Beavers out shot Lyndon State 20-5 and held a 4-1 command in corner kicks.

Mckell Barnes (Durham, ME) recorded the shutout for Farmington with three saves.
