KENTS HILL – Mt Abram opened its preseason baseball campaign Thursday posting a 6-2 win over host Kents Hill on the Alfond Athletics Turf Fields.

Jonny Hart, Cal Dixon and Seth Thomas tossed two-innings each in the six inning contest with Dixon recording the win.

“That was our first time on a pitchers mound,” Mt. Abram coach Lee Nile said. “Everything went well for our first time out.”

Mt Abram trailed 2-1 after two innings when a pair of errors led to the Huskies notching a two runs in the bottom of the second.

The Roadrunner responded scoring five runs over the next three innings to record the final 6-2 margin of victory.

Mt. Abram will open the regular season, Wednesday, April 23 at Mt. Valley in Rumford.
