UMF cross country teams compete at Colby

Men’s Cross Country

WATERVILLE – The University of Maine at Farmington men’s cross country team placed third at the Colby Invitational Saturday. The host Mules (18 points) won the event followed by Bowdoin College (55), the Beavers (69) and Thomas College (102)

Cam Betts (Gray, ME) finished in 10th place with a time of 30:11.26 on the 8K course for the Beavers. Pat Pozzetti (Portland, CT) followed in 14th at 30:30.50 with Kel Cenga (Brewster, MA) in 18th at 30:44.40 , Jeremiah Roper (Bangor, ME) in 23rd at 31:32.46 and Jacob Gomberg (Winthrop, ME)) in 26th at 32:25.33 rounded out Farmington’s scoring

Farmington is scheduled to visit St. Joseph’s College next Saturday.

Women’s Cross County

WATERVILLE – The University of Maine at Farmington women’s cross country team came in third place against Colby College and Bowdoin College Saturday at Colby.

The host Mules won with 20 points followed by Bowdoin (45) and the Beavers (77).

Emily Farley (Bernard, ME) placed eighth for Farmington with a time of 22:01.32 on the 5K course. Meaghan Champagne (Littleton, NH) in 23rd at 23:40.20, Ashley Mace (York, ME) in 24th at 23:41.89, Tess Perry (Farmington, ME) in 26th at 24:03.63 and Caitlin Miller (Pepperell, MA) in 28th at 24:12.16 finished off Farmington’s scoring.

The Beavers are scheduled to visit St. Joseph’s College next Saturday
