Western Maine United 4, Gray/New Gloucester 3

GRAY – On Sunday the Western Maine United boys U10 traveled to Gray and faced the Gray/NewGloucester Patriots. Western Maine United had another exciting result as they prevailed 4-3.

Offensive pressure was the name of this game. Finn Towle, Sam McFarlane, JB Jordan, Chris Marshall and Mick Gurney were able to fire several shots on goal keeping both the patriot goalie and defense on their heels.

Gabe Robinson, was able to further assist the offense with some key passing. Sam Smith and Jarred Fontaine were able to provide the scoring neccesary to overcome the Patriots.

On the defensive end, Levi Bouchard, Ryan Haszko, Jack Murray and Evan Allen provided key defensive stops to hold the Patriot attack.

The Western Maine United team is really starting to find a rhthym as the players are connecting passes and moving as team. The team now has record of 2-1-1 going into this week’s match-ups. On Saturday at 6:30 they face Oxford at Hippach, and Sunday at noon at Hippach they play Freeport.
