FARMINGTON – Alison Hagerstrom, executive director of Greater Franklin Development Corporation, has announced the launch of their new website, www.greaterfranklin.com.

Greater Franklin Development Corporation is a nonprofit organizationwhose mission is to create and retain quality employment and business opportunities in the greater Franklin County area, as well as to attract new businesses, foster existing businesses, and encourage new business start-ups.

Visitors are introduced to the website by Executive Director Alison Hagerstrom in a welcome video found on the homepage. The website provides potential and existing businesses with useful information about Franklin County and Livermore Falls. It includes links to business resources such as business assistance programs, Maine’s Pine Tree Development Zones, Maine Office of Tourism, and more. The site details the core industries found in the area and the local networks aimed at promoting community and economic development in the region.

On a more personal level, Greater Franklin’s website also shows prospective businesses available healthcare and educational options, as well as the diverse outdoor recreation activities and cultural amenities that Western Maine is known for.

“Considered the economic hub of Western Maine, the greater Franklin County area has everything an existing or developing business could want or need,” shared Hagerstrom. “We hope visitors will use this website as a tool to see what the area has to offer and let them know that Greater Franklin Development Corporation is available as a resource.”

Honoring the influence of business-to-business relationships, Greater Franklin’s website includes video testimonials of successful local companies that share why the business owners located in Franklin County and why they would encourage others to do so.
