FARMINGTON – Teresa Sargent, licensed massage therapist and owner of Heal Thy Senses is pleased to announce the opening of her practice at 221 Broadway, Suite 2, in downtown Farmington.

Teresa offers a variety of massage therapy techniques including: Orthopedic, Oncology, Deep Tissue, European Neuromuscular, Sports, and Swedish Massage. Integrated therapies include Reiki Therapy, Hydrotherapy, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, and PNF.

Massage Therapy is a powerful, natural ally in maintaining good health. Massage may feel like pampering or treating yourself to something very special. It is treating your body, mind and spirit to a natural health therapy that provides a variety of health benefits in keeping you energetic, with less pain and disease, as you journey through the aging process.

In her practice, Teresa works with each client to determine a treatment technique that best fits their current health complaint(s). Whether it is a Swedish massage for relaxation or a more complex issue of the musculoskeletal system requiring more in depth therapy, the goal of each session is to achieve optimal results to bring relief to the client.

Teresa holds a degree in the field of business, certificates in paralegal studies and is a Dedimus Justice for the State of Maine. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Maine, nationally certified Massage Therapist through the NCBTMB, Reiki Practitioner, and has served as membership chairperson of the Maine Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association.

After an incredible 20-year journey serving as the administrative director of an international Osteopathic medical education program for physicians and medical students, Teresa chose to redirect her career path. Seeing firsthand the benefits of Osteopathic medicine and alternative therapies, she chose to pursue a more hands-on approach to her work through therapeutic massage.

She has provided therapeutic massage to individuals through her private practice, employees of a cardiopulmonary/physical therapy rehabilitation center in a hospital setting, patients in medical practice settings, and on-site therapy sessions for businesses and resorts.

In 2011, Teresa created Gentle Hands, a nonprofit massage therapy resource for adult women dealing with difficult life issues. She also volunteers her services in the community with the intent of educating individuals on the health benefits of massage therapy.

  1. Do yourself a favor and visit Terry on a regular basis. She can relieve any aches with one visit but it is a medical fact that massage should be a part of any health regiment you incorproate in your life . I will always visit my favorite massage therapist on a regular basis.

  2. I went and saw Teresa a few weeks ago and I felt so much better when I left her office, I will be going back again soon.
