Old South First Congregational Church, UCC, seeks a Director of Children and Youth Ministries, beginning September 2024.
Old South’s vibrant, well-attended youth program blends Sunday School education with popular community service projects, including The Pancakery Cafe, a monthly free brunch served by children, and Coat & Cupboard, a free coat “store” in our church.
Our ideal candidate has experience working with children, is creative and resourceful, well-organized, and familiar with the tenets of progressive Christian faith. Candidates should be comfortable with some social media and basic computer skills.
This part-time position, 10 - 15 hours per week, coordinates with the local school calendar (September - May), with Sunday morning attendance to lead a Sunday School class (grade school or high school). The compensation is $18 - $20 per hour, depending upon experience and qualifications. A background check will be conducted prior to hiring.
